About Us

A passion project a lifetime in the making, Promised Land Animal Sanctuary was founded by Kat Krylov and opened its gates in November 2017, as a safe haven and refuge for animals who have been neglected, abused, abandoned or forgotten. We care for horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs and cats. Sometimes other animals find their way to our farm. All our farm friends receive lifelong care and shelter. While we do adopt some animals to appropriate homes, we also provide a permanent home for those who need it. Located in Campbellford, Ontario.

Our Mission is to provide care and permanent sanctuary to neglected, abused, homeless and older farm and domestic animals in need and to promote a kind and compassionate lifestyle through humane education. Our vision is to re-establish and preserve the natural human-nonhuman person bond that exists naturally, in all of us, as young children. We believe that bond is the source of all compassionate action. Promised Land respects every resident as a unique individual and educates the public about kind and compassionate lifestyle choices.

The sanctuary is open for tours on Sunday afternoons 1 pm by appointment. Book online at promisedlandsanctuary.org/visit . Up to 10 people will enjoy a one-hour outdoor experience with our farm friends.
