In a funk? Then SHEBAD is for you! Join this Guelph-based music and art project that revels in the exploratory side of Indie Soul. With 15 albums to his credit, Michael returns to Westben his dazzlingly unique mix of jazz, pop and boogie-woogie, along with a barnful of charismatic charm. Two-time JUNO Award-winner and shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize, Montreal singer-songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé has been a favourite at venues ranging from the Montreal International Jazz Festival to opening for Diana Krall in Europe. Brian Barlow and his amazing Big Band present a spectacular concert featuring Oscar Peterson?s famous ?Canadiana Suite?, a musical journey across his beloved Canada (including a visit to the Calgary Stampede!), as well as the music of other great Canadian jazz artists influenced by Oscar. The Hastings Historical Society meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Hastings Library at 7 pm. Check their Facebook page to learn about what guest speaker will be joining them! The St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Rotary Club of Campbellford host a free community lunch on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at the Rotary Hall in Campbellford.
