In What Does a Garden Know?, Northumberland-based artist and animator bekky O'Neil invites us into a deeply personal exploration of land, life, and learning. Drawing from her MFA thesis at OCAD University, the exhibition blends animated documentary, permaculture practice, and hand-crafted filmmaking to explore the relationships between humans, plants, animals, and even soil microbes.
 
Through stop motion, rotoscoping, 2D animation, and materials gathered from the land itself, Bekky's work challenges the boundaries between documentary and imagination—offering a quiet, layered reflection on sustainability, community, and connection
